Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Technique is a major player in both the mining and construction industries in Southern Africa.

Our Underground Rock Excavation division provides two distinct product ranges to the underground mining industry, namely, Tunnelling and Mining Equipment, as well as Load Haul Dump Equipment.

Our Surface Drilling Equipment division supplies machines to contractors and mining companies in the surface mining, quarrying and civil engineering industries.

Atlas Copco Drilling Solutions concentrates on the supply of blasthole production drill rigs for use in large open-pit mines, it also markets a range of waterwell drill rigs that will play an important role in South Africa that currently faces a chronic shortage of surface water.

Our Rock Drilling Tools division not only provides support to each of our mining divisions, but also sells rock-drilling consumables into the broader market. We supply consumables for top hammer, down-the-hole, raise boring and rotary drilling.

Atlas Copco’s Geotechnical Drilling and Exploration division is represented by Atlas Copco Exploration Products Africa that supplies a range of drilling equipment and consumables to the exploration industry.

Massive infrastructure development has over the last few years driven the Southern African construction industry and we are represented in this arena through our Construction Tools and Road Construction Equipment divisions.

Our Construction Tools division supplies a wide variety of hand-held tools that are powered either by air compressors, hydraulic pumps or petrol. A full range of Dynapac light concrete and construction equipment is also available through our Construction Tools division. In addition, this division is responsible for the marketing of an extensive range of demolition equipment, as well as a range of pedestal boom systems.

Our Road Construction Equipment division is responsible for the Dynapac range of heavy equipment comprising planers, pavers and rollers.
